Study on the opportunities for mainstreaming HIV/AIDS mitigating activities into the Technical Cooperation Project" Sustainable Management of Natural resource.

  

In November 2006, the GTZ in Namibia commissioned two studies relating HIV/AIDS mainstreaming to the natural resources sector, i.e. (i) the water sector and (ii) environment, in terms of GTZ support to the Ministry of Environment and Tourism. The latter is the focus of a report by IECN.

National coordination for the finalization of Namibia's National Capacity Self Assessment (NCSA) for Global Environmental Management

  

The NCSA process aims to assist developing countries and economies in transition to assess capacity to meet the requirements and implement the United Nations Conventions on Biological Diversity (CBD), Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) and Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Namibia is in the final phase of completing its NCSA.
